Welcome Message
Just as a Christian cannot serve two masters, Christian education cannot serve multiple masters. When we pray that God is the master in church, chant that a prestigious university is the master in the classroom, and pamper our children at home as if they were the master, education becomes increasingly distorted, like a botched plastic surgery.
This is the current self-portrait of Christian education: character is long gone, academic achievement is long gone, and it’s long past time to stop laughing at youth evangelization rates that are tantamount to “unreached people groups”.
There is no neutral ground in education; you cannot build a house of truth on a foundation of untruth; you cannot teach God’s Word correctly while laying unbiblical premises; there is no room for compromise in education where you can separate character education from spiritual education while still focusing on admissions.
SICA goes forward with a David’s heart in the face of a Goliath-like reality with a Jesus Christ-centered classical education (Trivium) in hand. With a foundation of wisdom built through a Christian classical education with a proven track record of academic excellence, we look forward to seeing our students continue to learn and grow into channels of influence for good.
As a mom who has homeschooled all three of my children, as a music director who has led a homeschool youth orchestra for over a decade, and as an educator who has taught students in the college, I will faithfully sow the much-needed seeds for the restoration of education where God is God.

크리스천이 두 주인을 섬길 수 없듯이 크리스천 교육도 여러 주인을 섬길 수 없습니다. 교회에선 하나님이 주인이시라 기도하고, 교실에선 명문대가 주인이라 외우며, 가정에선 우리 아이가 주인이다 애지중지하면, 교육은 잘못된 성형수술처럼 점점 일그러질 따름입니다.
지금 우리 기독교 교육의 자화상이 그렇습니다. 인성을 찾아볼 수 없게 된 지 오래고, 학력이 저하된 지 오래며, ‘미전도 종족’에 준하는 청소년 복음화율을 우스개 소리처럼 논하는 게 더 이상 웃기지 않은 현실이 된 지도 아주 오래됐습니다.
교육엔 중립지대가 없기 때문입니다. 비진리의 토대 위에 진리의 집을 지을 수 없습니다. 비성경적인 전제를 깔고 하나님의 말씀을 올바로 가르칠 수 없습니다. 입시중심 교육을 하면서, 인성교육과 영성교육을 분리해 겸할 수 있는 타협의 공간이 안타깝게도 교육엔 존재하지 않습니다.
SICA는 예수 그리스도 중심의 고전 교육(Trivium)을 손에 들고 골리앗 같은 현실 앞에 다윗의 마음으로 나아갑니다. 학문의 수월성(Excellency)이 입증된 기독교 고전교육을 통해 지혜의 기초가 만들어진 학생들이 배움을 이어가고, 선한 영향력의 통로로 성장하게 되길 기대합니다.
저 또한 세 아이 모두를 홈스쿨로 키워온 엄마로서, 10년 넘게 홈스쿨 청소년 오케스트라를 이끌어온 음악 감독으로서, 대학 강단에서 학생들을 가르쳤던 교육인의 한 사람으로서, 하나님이 하나님 되시는 교육의 회복을 위해 이 땅에 꼭 필요한 씨앗을 성실히 뿌리겠습니다.
